OIL PAINTERS OF AMERICA

Dedicated to the Preservation of Representational Art

Presents The

2015 Eastern Regional

Juried Exhibition Of Traditional Oils

OPA’s 2015 Eastern Regional Exhibition is being hosted by Eckert & Ross Fine Art, located in Indianapolis, Indiana from November 6 through December 5, 2015. The City of Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana, is probably best known for being the home of the Indianapolis 500 Raceway. Other attractions include the Indianapolis Zoo, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, the NCAA Hall of Champions and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail through downtown Indianapolis. Eckert & Ross Fine Art is hosting an opening reception on Friday, November 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the awards presentation at 7:00 p.m.

Our goal is to assemble the finest display of representational oil paintings. The focus in the jurying process will be to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.

The total awards will be approximately $11,500, including a $4,000 Best In Show.

The awarding juror will be Master Signature Member David Hettinger.

Eligible states and provinces include: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Brunswick, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Newfoundland, North Carolina, Nova Scotia, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Artists must be either 2015 OPA paid members or have submitted an application for membership for 2015 to be eligible to submit an entry in this exhibition. Artists whose residency is in question must provide OPA with documentation certifying legal residency. See Bylaws Article II K on-line for definition of residency requirements.

Liabilities and Responsibilities

Oil Painters of America and Eckert & Ross Fine Art will not be responsible for loss or damage of any artwork, no matter what the cause. By submitting artwork to this exhibition, each artist will be deemed to have concurred with this agreement. Artists pay for shipping both ways. We suggest that you provide insurance to cover the full value of the artwork while in transit.

Howard Friedland, Signature Member and OPA Board Member, will serve as chairman of a Jurying Committee consisting of five Master Signature or Signature members of OPA. The results of the jurying will be final. No refunds will be made on unaccepted entries.

Good Luck and Good Painting!
