Call for Entries

Summertime Blues

$250 Cash Prize for Best in Show

Eligibility: An Open Call - artists in all media are invited to submit work

Media:  All media completed within the last two years. Reproductions are not acceptable.  Up to 2 entries may be submitted.  2-D work must be ready to hang (no saw tooth or keyhole hangers will be accepted). Paintings can be no wider than 3ft and no higher than 7ft. Maximum size for sculptures is a 36” footprint and 75 lb. weight.

Important Dates

Submission deadline:  June 12, 2015

Notification of accepted work:  July 17, 2015

Delivery of accepted work: July 23, 24, 25 & 26

Hand deliver to The Loading Dock Gallery, 122 Western Ave, Lowell, MA During gallery hours (noon -5:30 pm Wed-Sat, noon – 4:00 pm Sunday)

Artists Opening Reception:  August 1, 2015, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm after Open Studios at Western Avenue Studios and Lofts

Exhibit:  July 29 – August 30, 2015

Pickup of unsold work:  August 30, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm Work must be picked up in person; no works will be shipped back to the artist.

September 2 – 5, noon - 5:30 pm. Any work not picked up by that time will be charged $5.00 per day for storage.

All communications including juror decision will be made online via email, so be sure to provide an email address that you check frequently.
