Fine Line Creative Arts Center presents “Layers” a national juried collage and assemblage exhibition and sale of exceptional work. The exhibit is held in the Kavanagh Gallery at Fine Line Creative Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit art center located in the Western suburbs of Chicago in St. Charles, IL.

Two jurors, who are experts in the collage and assemblage, will choose from the pool of applicants. Artists are selected on the basis of originality and quality of work. Each selected artist may submit up to 5 pieces for display and sale at the show (2 dimensional/hanging pieces must follow hanging requirements indicated below).

The show is produced by Fine Line’s Kavanagh Gallery Committee and will be advertised throughout the Chicagoland area through print media, postcards and on-line advertising. The show charges a sales commission of 30% for any items sold during the show. Fine Line will handle all sales/sales tax and will provide the artist with a check at the end of the show for all sales (less 30% commission).

This is a gallery show, so artists need not be present while the show is open. Attendance at the gallery opening is encouraged but not mandatory. Fine Line will handle the show hanging, show opening and sales. Artists are responsible for the shipping costs and insurance to and from the show.

In recognition of outstanding work, Fine Line presents cash awards for Best of Show ($500) and merit awards of distinction.
