 The Twenty-second Annual National Juried

Exhibition Of Traditional Oils

Oil Painters of America’s Twenty-second Annual National Exhibition will be held at the InSight Gallery, in Fredericksburg, Texas, May 18 — June 17, 2013. InSight Gallery is situated in a 12,000 square foot, beautifully renovated 1907 building conveniently located in historic, downtown Fredericksburg. The Texas Hill Country town of Fredericksburg offers many interesting sites and tours, not to be missed while attending the OPA exhibition. An opening reception will be held for artists, collectors, the public and the press on Saturday, May 18 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the awards presentation taking place at 7:00 P.M. As has become our custom, many informative and educational seminars will be offered to OPA members and guests during the exhibition.

Our goal is to assemble the finest display of representational oil paintings. The focus in the jurying process will be to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.

The total awards will be in excess of $75,000, including a $25,000 Best In Show.

The awarding juror will be Master Signature member Sherrie McGraw.

Artists who reside in the United States, Canada and Mexico and are 2013 OPA members or have submitted an application for membership or renewal for 2013 may apply for this exhibition. Artists whose residency is in question must provide OPA with documentation certifying legal residency. See Bylaws Article II K on-line for definition of residency requirements.

Liabilities and Responsibilities

Oil Painters of America and the InSight Gallery will not be responsible for loss or damage of any artwork, no matter what the cause. By submitting artwork to this exhibition, each artist will be deemed to have concurred with this agreement. Artists pay for shipping both ways. We suggest that you provide insurance to cover the full value of the artwork while in transit.

Ken Cadwallader, Signature Member and OPA Board Member, will serve as chairman of a Jurying Committee consisting of five Master Signature or Signature members of OPA. The results of the jurying will be final.

No refunds will be made on unaccepted entries. Participants will be notified of the jurors' selections.
