The Twenty-first Annual National Juried
Exhibition Of Traditional Oils
Oil Painters of America's Twenty-first Annual National Exhibition will be held at the Evergreen Fine Art Gallery, in Evergreen, Colorado, June 22 — July 21, 2012. Located about one-half hour west of Denver, Evergreen Fine Art Gallery is near the Elk Meadow, an area of natural beauty which will afford artists innumerable opportunities for painting mountain meadows, wildflower glens, wildlife and other picturesque painting prospects while enjoying the aroma of acres of Ponderosa Pines. Other area activities include hiking, boating, biking and fishing. An opening reception will be held for artists, collectors, the public and the press on Friday, June 22 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. As in the past, many informative and educational seminars will be offered to OPA members and guests.
Our goal is to assemble the finest display of representational oil paintings. The focus in the jurying process will be to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.
The total awards will be in excess of $75,000, including a $25,000 Best In Show.
The awarding juror will be internationally renowned Master Signature member Quang Ho.
Artists who reside in the United States, Canada and Mexico and are 2012 OPA members or have submitted an application for membership or renewal for 2012 may apply for this exhibition. Artists whose residency is in question must provide OPA with documentation certifying legal residency. See Bylaws Article II K on-line for definition of residency requirements.
Liabilities and Responsibilities
Oil Painters of America and the Evergreen Fine Art Gallery will not be responsible for loss or damage of any artwork, no matter what the cause. By submitting artwork to this exhibition, each artist will be deemed to have concurred with this agreement. Artists pay for shipping both ways. We suggest that you provide insurance to cover the full value of the artwork while in transit.
Ken Cadwallader, Signature Member and OPA Board Member, will serve as chairman of a Jurying Committee consisting of five Master Signature or Signature members of OPA. The results of the jurying will be final.
No refunds will be made on unaccepted entries. Participants will be notified of the jurors' selections.
