The Guild of the Knoxville Museum of Art (KMA) seeks artists to participate in Artists on Location, A Plein Air Painting Event April 23-28, 2018.  Artists working in all oil, pastel, watercolor, and acrylic have an opportunity to showcase their talents by painting outdoors over several days at sites in and around scenic Knoxville, Tennessee.  Artists will show and sell the resulting work at the Knoxville Museum of Art during Artists on Location, A Plein Air Painting Event exhibition, awards and sale on Saturday evening April 28, 2018.  Knoxville’s location in the shadow of the Smokies has inspired artists since the nineteenth century.  Artists on Location encourages artists to take their materials outdoors and respond directly to the area’s natural springtime beauty and to make their creative efforts available to buyers who will treasure images of these landmarks and locations. Housing for the event is available upon request. Please contact knoxvillepleinair@gmail.com.
