PORTLAND FINE CRAFT SHOW
AUGUST 22, 2020 • PORTLAND, MAINE
The sixth annual PORTLAND FINE CRAFT SHOW (PFCS), produced by the Maine Crafts Association, will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2020 in the Free Street Parking Lot at 120 Free Street in Portland, Maine. The Show features approximately 100 juried exhibitors from Maine and the Northeast exhibiting fine craft in 10x10 tents in the following media categories: baskets, ceramics, fiber-decorative, fiber-wearables, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, stone and wood.
PORTLAND FINE CRAFT SHOW is a one-day, rain-or-shine outdoor event. Exhibitors are prepared for a relatively quick set up (3-4 hours) and take down (2 hours).
Show location Change Note
For five years (2015-19) the Portland Fine Craft Show occupied Congress Street between State and High Streets, with this segment of Congress Street closed to vehicles on the Show day. In 2020, the Portland Fine Craft Show will move to a private parking lot at 120 Free Street, a location familiar to returning exhibitors. The Free Street Lot location is attractive for its proximity to the original show location, and, like the original location, its accessibility from major Portland Arts District attractions – Portland Museum of Art, the Children’s Museum and both the Old Port and the West End. The change of location is on the advice and conditions of the City of Portland.
Maine Crafts Association (Show Producer)
Established in 1983, the Maine Crafts Association (MCA) supports craft artists by providing educational, marketing and retail opportunities. MCA strives to develop lasting and impactful opportunities for both our members and greater fine craft community. MCA launched the Portland Fine Craft Show in 2015, and it remains one of the only Maine craft shows open to artists not living in Maine. PFCS is a well-organized show with a reputation for high quality and high attendance.
