DESCRIPTION OF THE SHOW:

About The Museum of Biblical Art:

The Museum of Biblical Art is a museum that studies the history of Judaism and Christianity. We do not espouse any faith, but we seek to explain the history of these two faiths, their impact on the history of the world, the history of art, and upon individuals and groups.

This is strictly a mosaic show viewed from a Jewish sensibility. We invite all types of people practicing all different religions to contribute fine art mosaic works symbolic of Judaism. We are looking for works that , 1.) have been informed, influenced, or inspired by the Jewish Bible (Tanach), often referred to as the Old Testament, or 2.) have been informed, influenced or inspired by history, late or current. Examples include, and are not limited to, menorahs, Noah's Ark, The Burning Bush, The Israeli Flag and the religious shawl (Tallit) that inspired it. Any inspiration from the Jewish Bible/Tanach/Old Testament will be acceptable for this show. You are welcome to contact us if you have questions.

Critical to the acceptance of works into this show is an Artist Statement that specifically ties the mosaic work to the theme of this show.

Entry Information:
