THE 2015 RISD ALUMNI FALL ART SHOW

THE SHOW

The 2015 RISD ALUMNI + STUDENT FALL ART SHOW, a curated exhibition and retail sale, will be held outdoors on Providence’s historic Benefit Street Saturday, October 10th, 2015, from 10am-5pm. The jury will accept between 80-100 RISD Alumni to participate in the sale.

The RISD Alumni + Student Art Sales exist to showcase alumni and student work, provide a testing ground for entrepreneurial efforts and new work, and to offer the local community a chance to interact with RISD work and artists/designers on a personal level.

You must be a RISD Alumni to participate in this show.

APPLICATION: INFORMATION, DEADLINES AND FEES

The application is open February 16 - March 1. No late applications will be accepted because of the jury process. The non-refundable application processing fee is $25.00, payable online only, at the time you fill out the application. Your application will not be considered if you do not pay the application fee.

If accepted, booth fees are due by April 10th, payable online only:

Full Booth (8 ft wide x 7 ft deep): $225
X-Large Booth (12 ft wide x 7 ft deep): $300
Shared Full Size Booth: $125 (Please note that if you choose this option, an alumni will be assigned to share your booth with you, because of the juried application process. We will share their contact info with you so you can discuss display before the sale.)

All booths come with one 6 ft x 3 ft folding table and two folding chairs.

PORTFOLIO
You need to create a 5 image portfolio through the application service Juried Art Services (juriedartservices.com) that is current and representative of the work you will present at the show.

Images must be 300dpi, and between 1400 and 4000 pixels on the longest side. Refer to the help menu on the Juried Art Services site, or contact Juried Art Services directly for technical assistance, info@juying.net or 561-832-0480.

ELIGIBILITY
We want to showcase unique, sophisticated and original work being created by RISD Alumni in all media. Work can be handmade or designed by alumni-- they must have an active role in the creation of the work.

Failure to comply with the following terms & conditions will make you ineligible for future sales:

1. Only RISD Alumni from degree programs may apply

2. All work must be designed by you, made by hand and/or not outsourced in an unethical way. .

3. RISD Alumni that are accepted for participation must be in attendance at their booth during the entire show. Assistants are allowed of course, but no representative may attend in place of the artist.

4. All work exhibited must be of the same body, quality, and category of work that was juried through digital images

5. Follow proper permits and tax payments procedures. See our webpage for full explanation.

ACCEPTANCE
Email notification will be sent no later than March 31, 2015.

Between 80-100 artists will be invited to participate, and a select number of artists will be placed on a waiting list. Show booths will be offered as they become available.

AWARDS
The People’s Choice Award will be based on the votes of visitors to the show. There will also be an Emerging Artist award, chosen by jurors. Awards include automatic acceptance to next year’s show if that Alumni chooses to participate!
