The 39th Annual Art in the Park of Montclair, N.J. caters exclusively to craftspeople interested in presenting their work to an affluent clientele in a community setting. The show moves this year to grounds of the Montclair Art Museum on May 2-4, 2008 and coincides with the art museum’s hosting of the NJ Craft Annual, entitled “Tribal Roots in the Garden State.”

ART CATEGORIES: Applied Arts (printmaking, graphic design, industrial design, fashion design), Painting, Jewelry, Sculpture, Photography, Metalwork, Ceramic, Glass, Wood, Fiber, Leather, Paper

Artists who feel that they are mixed media should apply in sculpture or applied arts


2008 APPLICATION DEADLINES AND FEES:

Electronic Applications: February 10, 2007 deadline Midnight Eastern Standard Time

Applications will be accepted online until midnight EST. February 10, 2007. The non-refundable fee for electronic applications is $35, payable online by credit card. .

Hardcopy Mailed Applications: December 14, 2007 deadline

Applications must be postmarked on or before December 14, 2007. The non-refundable fee for applying by mail is $50 payable by check or credit card.

. Mailed applications postmarked after December 14 , 2007, will be returned unopened.

TO ENTER:
Each artist may be represented by four images, one of which may be a detail and one which must be a booth or installation shot.

ELIGIBILTY:
Open to all members of the functional design and arts community.

MULTIPLE ENTRIES:
Artists are permitted to enter more than one category, but must submit separate applications, fees, and images for each category in which they wish to be considered. If only one application is accepted, 75% of the artist’s booth must contain work accepted in that category.

NOTIFICATIONS:
Artists will be notified of the Jury results by February 18, 2008.
