Drink This! The Workhouse International Ceramic Cup Show
Drink This! will showcase ceramic drinking vessels by contemporary artists around the globe. The focus of the exhibit is on the variety of ways artists explore the cup, in functional, sculptural, traditional and non-traditional forms.
Juror - Phil Rogers
Phil Rogers is a studio potter residing in the Welsh town of Rhayader, and is known for his salt and ash glazed vessels, using locally sourced materials. He has exhibited widely in the U.K., USA, Europe and Asia , and has works represented in over fifty museums and collections, including the Victorian and Albert in London, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Keramik Museum in Koblenz , Germany, the Inchon World Ceramic Center in South Korea, and Princesshof Museum Nederlands . Rogers is a fellow and past Chair of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain, member of the Royal Cambrian Academy and the International Academy of Ceramics. He has published numerous books, articles, and films on ash glazes, throwing and salt glazing, and has presented lectures and workshops around the world.
Entry Guidelines
Work shall have been completed within the last two years. Mixed media works will be permitted if clay is the primary component. Selections will be conducted from digital images of works. Artists may submit up to three entries , up to two images per entry (detail or second view) not to exceed six images.
Accepted art work must be available for the entire exhibition. All works must be for sale.
Regretfully, work that is damaged during shipping, displays poor craftsmanship, or any pieces which differ from those submitted for jury will not be displayed.
Entry fee
$25 for one entry, $30 for up to three entries.

Sales and Insurance
The exhibit will be open to the public seven days a week to encourage sales. The Workhouse will retain a sales commission of 30%. Art works must be available for sale.
The artist is responsible for insuring art work while in transit to and from the Workhouse. The Workhouse Arts Center will be responsible for insurance during the exhibit. US residents must provide (will be sent if applicable) a W-9 form for any work(s) for sale exceeding $600.
Shipping and Delivery
Works must be packed in reusable boxes. Provisions for return of shipped work shall be included in the form of a pre-paid return shipping label, postage, or check, made payable to WAF.
Shipped works shall arrive by December 20, 2014. Hand-delivered works shall arrive on January 2 ,2015 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Signed contracts must be included with the shipment or delivery. Regretfully, work that is damaged during shipping, or which displays poor craftsmanship, will not be displayed. Nor will pieces which differ from submitted images be shown.
Photography Release
Accepted artists agree to allow the Workhouse Arts Foundation /Workhouse Arts Center to photograph work while on display. Artists should understand that works in the exhibition may be photographed, telecast and reproduced for publicity purposes, and retained for future use. This may include publications, internet, and television.
Reception
An opening reception will occur on January 10, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Workhouse Arts Center-W-8-Ceramics Building.
