Prospectus

Eco Arts Awards is an annual online thematic arts competition that features four creative categories: Fine Art, Repurposed Materials in Art & Design, Songwriting and Literature. The primary criteria to win in any category is delivering an inspired and original interpretation of the meaning of ecology, then of course techniques and mastery of the medium are of primary consideration as well. One Grand Prize winner will be selected from all four of the creative categories and will receive $2,000 usd. All four categories will have a First Place winner who receives $1,000 usd. 20 Semi-Finalists will be selected from each category and will receive an award icon, and then 10 Finalists will be selected and will receive an award icon as well as a their own webpage on The Art of Ecology’s website.

Description of Show

Eco Arts Awards is moving toward its third year with winners being announced early in 2014. All categories are juried by a panel of experts in their respective medium, with the exception of the Repurposed Materials in Art & Design category, there is one eminent juror, Lloyd Herman.

Winners are displayed on the home page of Eco Arts Awards and offered their own page on The Art of Ecology. Org. This competition is promoted primarily via social media and its affiliates.

APPLYING

In Eco Arts Awards Fine Art category we accept; sculpture, outside interactions, inside installations, paintings and photography.  We accept varying amounts of images depending on the media: Paintings – one image, Sculpture – up to 4 images, Inside Installations – up to 4 images, Outside Interactions-up to 4 images, Photographic Documentary Series-up to 10 images, otherwise a single photograph.

In Eco Arts Awards Repurposed Materials in Art & Design category we accept up to six images per artwork or entry.

You can enter as many times as you wish in either Fine Art and/or Repurposed Materials in Art & Design.  You will only receive the multiple entry discount of $20 twice, i.e. for your second and third entries. If you wish to enter more than three times your fourth entry goes back to $30, and the fifth or sixth entry will be $20 each.
