APPLICATION FOR ARTIST MEMBERSHIP

Terms and Conditions

The American Society of Marine Artists was founded in 1978 as a non-profit, tax exempt organization, whose objective is to recognize and promote marine art and history, and to encourage cooperation among artists, historians, marine enthusiasts and others engaged in activities related to marine art and maritime history.

OPENING SUBMISSIONS FOR ARTIST MEMBERSHIP ENTRIES: Tuesday, March 1, 2013

Entry Fee : $50 non-refundable submission fee plus $25.00 image fee to be paid online

Eligibility: 
Open to all members and non-members of The American Society of Marine Artists.

Requirements: All Applicants may submit no less than 10 and no more than 12 images of their work. The committee will be looking for a broad view of the candidate's work in marine art. Works should be original artwork created by the artist. Artist Biography may be added online.

Not Registered with Juried Art Services
 If you are new to Juried Art Services you will need to register a user account, create a portfolio, upload your images and then click EVENTS  to create your application for review.

Digital Submission: All digital images must be submitted via Juried Art Services website. All 12 images are to be viewed by the Jury for selection.



File format 
Save your image files in the universal JPG format.

Color model 
Image files must be in RGB format. Convert any CMYK files to RGB before you save them.

Image dimensions 
Images should be between 1400 pixels and 2000 pixels longest dimension at 300PPI (pixels per inch). Depending upon your connection speed, large files can take several minutes to upload.

Notification: Artists will be notified on or about May 10, 2013 by mail and in the ASMA Journal.

Jurors
