The Art Center of Citrus County is hosting the First Annual Southeast Regional Show of Shows Exhibition June, 2013. This exhibition will be open to all artists’ at least 18 years old who reside in the states of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North & South Carolina, Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia. Two dimensional artists in any media are welcome to submit their proposal. There will be an artists’ awards presentation and reception June 21, 2013, 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
Awards : $3500 for Best of Show; 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and honorable mentions in each category
Categories: I Graphics: Pencil, Pen & Ink, Pastel, Charcoal, Scratch
II Mixed Media: Collage, Combinations, Wall hangings
III Paintings: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor
IV Photography: Black/White and Color, Digitally Enhanced
Entry Fee: Art Center Member 2 images for $25.00 plus $5 per each additional image
Non-Member 2 images for $45.00 plus $5 per each additional image
Optional $30 membership fee
Entry Period: August 1, 2012 to March 27, 2013
Late Entry: $20.00 late fee for entries received after March 27, but before April 17
Notification of acceptance to the Exhibit: May 6, 2013; notification is via Juried Art Services
Exhibition Period: June 5 through August 27, 2013
Receipt of Works: June 3, 2013. Works accepted to the exhibit will be returned August 28, 2013. Artists shall provide paid return shipping instructions with all works accepted.
Submittal Terms & Conditions
Restrictions: Artworks shall be dated and completed within the past three years. Artworks shall be originals, prints or reproductions are not permitted excluding photography submittals, and shall be the original concept of the artists. Artworks shall not be produced from any published photographs, even with permission.
Identification: All artwork must be identified in a secure manner with the artist’s Name, Address, Phone and Artwork Title. Information must be clearly printed in a concise area preferably no larger than 3”x3” and secured to the back upper left-hand comcorner when viewed from the back; signatures are to be obscured.
Quality: All elements and materials that make up the presentation must be in clean, pristine condition and selected to protect the useful life of the piece appropriate to the medium. All elements must fit together properly with no untoward gaps or protrusions. Mats, when used, must be clean and cut to precision. Glazing over artworks shall be Plexiglas or acrylic sheet; no glass permitted unless otherwise approved.
Hanging : Artworks maximum size in any direction shall be 48” including frame, framed or gallery wrap w/painted edges, wire 2” from top of frame for single point hang, wire ends wrapped
Waiver:
Due care will be taken with all artwork. However, the Art Center of Citrus County will not be held responsible for loss and/or damage to registered and exhibited artwork. Upon acceptance, images become the property of the ACofCC which retains the right to reproduce the images, regardless of copyright, for promotional or educational purposes only. |
