OIL PAINTERS OF AMERICA
Dedicated to the Preservation of Representational Art
2012 Western Regional
Juried Exhibition Of Traditional Oils
OPA’s 2012 Western Regional Exhibition is being hosted by Gallery 1261, located in Denver, Colorado from October 4 through November 3, 2012. Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Denver offers a plethora of interesting sites such as the U S Mint, State Capitol, Denver Botanic Gardens and the Molly Brown (survivor of the Titanic sinking) House. Gallery 1261 is situated in the heart of the Golden Triangle Arts District and is within walking distance to the Denver Art Museum.
Our goal is to assemble the finest display of representational oil paintings. The focus in the jurying process will be to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.
The total awards will be approximately $11,500, including a $4,000 Best In Show.
The awarding juror for this year’s 2012 Western Juried Exhibition will be Master Signature Member Jeff Legg.
