JUROR - Jane C. Milosch, Senior Program Officer for Arts, Smithsonian Institution, and former Curator of the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.

In April 2008, Jane Milosch, curator at the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, was appointed to the acting position of Senior Program Officer for the Arts, in the Office of the Under Secretary for History, Art and Culture (OUSHAC), Smithsonian Institution, Washington D. C., to work with Under Secretary Richard Kurin on pan-Institutional art programs and initiatives. Before joining the Renwick Gallery, Milosch was curator of collections and exhibitions of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art in Iowa, the Davenport Museum of Art in Iowa and the Detroit Institute of the Arts. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Munich, Germany, where she has also worked as a managing editor for Prestel art books. Her research interests include American Craft, decorative arts and contemporary art.

OBJECTIVE
An international juried exhibition dedicated to enhancing the publicÕs awareness of contemporary American craft while providing a venue for established and emerging artists alike to share their functional and sculptural creative endeavors.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all professional artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood and/or mixed media crafts. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years.

AWARDS
$4000+ in prizes to be awarded.
Group and/or solo exhibition opportunities.

ABBREVIATED CATALOGUE
All work accepted into Craft forms 2010 will be illustrated in a full-color abbreviated catalogue, listing artist, resident state, title, and
specific mediums. Catalogues will be available for all Craft forms 2010 accepted artists.

ENTRIES
Each artist may submit two entries. Each 3D work may be represented by up to three separate images: two full views and one detail.

All works will be juried digitally on-line. All submissions will be received by www.juriedartservices.com. Wayne Art Center will no longer receive mail-in entries at our facilities. DIGITAL ENTRY
The Wayne Art Center recommends sending digital images (1400 x 2200 pixels) – Jpeg file format.

CONDITIONS

All work must have been completed within the past two years and may not have been previously exhibited at the Wayne Art Center. Wayne Art Center reserves the right to reject entries that do not meet the requirements. Shipped work that differs from work accepted from submitted slides will be disqualified. Work damaged in shipping will regretfully not be presented. All accepted work must have proper identification. No accepted work may be picked up before the closing of the exhibition. All work must be available for sale. NFS or POR submissions will not be accepted. Withdrawal of accepted work prior to the exhibition will result in exclusion from exhibiting at WAC for the following year (2011).

SHIPPING
All shipping to and from Wayne Art Center and shipping insurance costs are the responsibility of the artist. Work may be sent by the artist̥s desired carrier (UPS or FedEx is preferred) or hand-delivered from November 22 Р24, Monday РWednesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Registered mail or shipping excessively large freight, please contact Wayne Art Center prior to shipping. All work will be returned in accordance of our shipping policy. Our full shipping policy and checklist is available by request and will be sent to accepted artists. Ship/Hand Deliver to:

HAND DELIVERY
Artist is responsible for hand delivered art. Please notify the office in advance if additional assistance is needed with delivery into gallery.

SALES/ INSURANCE
Please note that price of entry may not be changed after it is set. WAC will retain 35% commission of the sale price. All work must be available for sale and therefore insurance will be set at 65% of sale value. NFS or POR submissions will not be accepted. All work will be insured while in the Wayne Art Center facility. WAC will not be responsible for loss or damage to work in transit to and from Wayne Art Center. Wayne Art Center is not responsible for loss, theft or damaged work after 30 days of the last day of show due to artist failing to retrieve exhibition work.


PUBLICITY
Wayne Art Center reserves the right to photograph entries for the purposes of documentation, education and publicity. Accepted artists are encouraged to send to the Center, a resume, artist statement , brochures, and additional photographic materials (photos, slides or digital) of the accepted work for use in promoting the exhibition.
