Jana’s RedRoom Gallery in Las Vegas, NV

Jana’s RedRoom Gallery invites artists from the United States and around the world to submit original art for consideration into the Las Vegas International Juried Art Competition presented by Jana’s RedRoom Gallery. ALL MEDIUMS WILL BE CONSIDERED. Artists may submit ONLY original artwork for consideration in multiple categories. 7 JURORS from the United States of America and around the world comprise the judges on the panel. To insure complete integrity in the judging process the jurors will be announced only after the winners have been determined.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

• There are nine (9) categories in which to enter your artwork: Drawing, painting, ceramics, glass, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, photography, and other.
• Artists may submit art in more than one category. There is no theme for the show thus artists may submit original artwork of any subject matter.
• ALL ART SUBMITTED MUST BE READY TO HANG or be displayed.
• All artwork must have been completed within the last 2 years.
• All art accepted into the competition must be for sale. The gallery will receive 30% of the sales of any art through this competition and subsequent show in Jana’s RedRoom Gallery.
• Artist is solely responsible for the insurance, shipping, and handling costs both to and from Jana’s RedRoom Gallery. You must arrange for insurance during the shipping and exhibition of your work. This can often be done through your homeowner's insurance and the shipping company.
• All artwork for winners exhibition must be received by August 25, 2016. Late arrivals will only be considered if space and time allow.
• The shipping costs to and from the gallery of the artwork accepted into this competition are solely the responsibility of the artist. Thus, the artist accepted into competition needs to send their artwork in reusable containers with a prepaid return label or Fedex or UPS account information for billing of the return of all unsold artwork.
• Submissions for consideration will only be accepted online.
• Absolutely no art will be accepted for consideration outside of Jana’s RedRoom Gallery website.
• Artists may submit their artwork in jpeg format ONLY. The gallery is not responsible if it is unable to open submitted files. Images should be between 1400 pixels and 4000 pixels longest dimension at 300PPI (pixels per inch).
• Entry fee is $35 per each piece of art entered into the competition.  You may enter the same piece of art into different categories but you must pay a separate entry fee each time it is entered.  You may enter as many times as you wish.
• Artists will be notified in the month of July 2016 of their inclusion/rejection into the show.
• Notification of inclusion/rejection into show will be made only through email. Artists must have a valid email address. The artist is responsible for submitting correct email addresses.

PRIZES:

THE WINNING ARTWORK OF ALL WINNERS, that is, Grand Prize winner, 1^st Place, 2^nd Place and 3^rd Place winners will be displayed in a show September 2016 in the Grand Salon at Jana’s RedRoom Gallery. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE FOR SALE. The gallery will take a 30% commission in US Dollars so price your artwork accordingly.

Grand Prize for Best of Show is:

A SOLO SHOW in Jana’s Red Room Gallery. PLUS the Grand Prize Winning Artist and their artwork will be prominently featured in all marketing opportunities in connection with this art competition and Jana’s RedRoom Gallery, including but not limited to local, national and international press releases, social media outlets, TV, magazine and radio sources; the biography of the artist on Jana’s RedRoom Gallery website, and an opportunity to sell their artwork through Jana’s RedRoom Gallery online store (30% commission for the gallery after postage is paid to send artwork to buyer) for one calendar year which begins when the gallery exhibition closes. NOTE: All artwork sold online at Jana’s RedRoom Gallery is listed as PRICE PLUS SHIPPING.

1^st Place in each category: Recognition Ribbon, opportunity to participate in ONE future group of show at Jana’s RedRoom Gallery (with another piece of their artwork not previously seen in the Las Vegas International Juried Art Competition}, as well as the opportunity to sell their artwork through Jana’s RedRoom Gallery online store (30% commission for the gallery after postage is paid to send artwork to buyer) for one calendar year which begins when the show for the LVIJAC closes. . NOTE: All artwork sold online at Jana’s RedRoom Gallery is listed as PRICE PLUS SHIPPING.

2^nd and 3^rd Place in each category: Recognition Ribbon, the opportunity to sell their artwork through Jana’s RedRoom Gallery online store (30% commission for the gallery after postage is paid to send artwork to buyer) for one calendar year which begins when the show for the LVIJAC closes. To insure jurors are not influenced by artist affiliations the jurors will remain anonymous during the judging phase of this contest. Jurors will be announced during the opening night reception.

Please be sure to read the posted rules and regulations for this exhibit to ensure that artwork will be acceptable for submission.
