Advice for Beginning Photographers
Camera USA™ 2016 is a competition open to photographers of all skill levels and experience. It is a very competitive program and not every photographer who enters Camera USA™ 2016 will have his or her work accepted for the exhibition. Should your photograph be accepted for the exhibiton, you should be prepared to print, frame or otherwise prepare your image for hand delivery or shipping. IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER BEFORE CHOOSING A PHOTOGRAPH TO ENTER: Printing, framing and shipping your accepted photograph to Naples, Florida may be expensive and especially if your photograph is large. Make a test print at the size you are proposing for the exhibition and check your test print for resolution quality. Plan ahead for expenses by getting one or more estimates locally for framing or mounting your photograph. Check rates for shipping your photograph to and from zip code 34108 in Naples, Florida by calling FedEx at 1.800.GoFedEx (463-3339) or by going to their website at https://www.fedex.com/ratefinder/home?link=4&cc=US&language=en.

Photography collectors are most interested in photographers signed by the photographers. They are also interested in photographs printed as part of a limited edition. Consider printing your photograph as an edition and number it near your signature. Edition numbers are written like fractions with the total number of the edition as the denominator and the individual photograph number as the numerator. For example, 1/10 indicates the photograph is the first in a series of ten. Photographs from small editions generally sell for higher prices than photographs from larger or unlimited editions. An edition of no more than 20 photographs is recommended.

Waiver
Due care will be taken with all photographs. However, the Naples Art Association will not be held responsible for loss or damage to exhibited photographs. The Naples Art Association recommends Camera USA™ 2016 exhibition participants acquire insurance to cover loss or damage.
